Belated blog post! Last Wednesday was the annual Fire Factor at MU, which meant …. we light things on fire. Specifically, a mock-up dorm room. It’s one of the more interesting fire safety demonstrations I’ve seen, and I finally was able to see – and get paid to record – it this year as a part of my job in the Res Life marketing department.

This pretty accurately sums up the room burn. Almost EVERYONE had a smartphone or camera out. You can see more photos I took on MU Res Life’s facebook page.

Another exciting thing – I designed the T shirts for the event this year and got to see them distributed. Fingers crossed that I see someone in one at a party.

This kid really wanted one that fit well. Does that mean he’ll wear it out? That’s what I like to hear.

Just finished my first multimedia project for The Missourian yesterday! You all should watch it and go “awww,” in all the appropriate places. It was so so so so much fun to shoot and took much more time to edit than I originally thought but am very pleased with the result. The ending interview makes me tear up a bit. There was a lot of great footage and clips that we got but couldn’t end up using because of time concerns in the end, I wish I could have shown you all the great stuff we got.
