What’s this?
More cats in publications? Is this a theme? You bet.
My spring preview design wasn’t picked for print but for online instead! I’ll probably be writing about the creation process more this week for class, so let me just give you a bigger preview …
The final presentation was a collaboration between myself, the online editor and a web editor who put all the working pieces together to make it functional. What a trip.
cats.
This post doesn’t need a longer title. I’m back at work and can now show you my final infographics project from last semester (I posted some in-progress images of the cats last month) that ran in the Missourian last week – it’s a full page! The subject matter shouldn’t come as a surprise, if you know me.
Here’s another graphic from the Thanksgiving season (two smaller graphics combined into a full page), as well as another holiday-themed one that I never got to finish:
leave it all down there
So in progress you don’t even know! (That’s the text I left over top of this last time I saved it to the server.)
Department page assignment for magazine design. Just took a break to pause and assess my progress. Look at these colors. I just can’t get away from blue + pink + green. My room used to be that color combo, till I kicked that to the curb by buying a new bedspread last year. Things have worked out much better since.
Current focus: the right page of this and the configuration of it. I really like the fox box (remember that?) in the bottom right corner, but it doesn’t seem anywhere near fantastic to have two helvetica neue headlines next to eachother. To switch the placement or switch the box? Only the next few hours I put into this will tell.
Input appreciated, plz, questions, thanks, hugs, baked goods. I need to trim my bangs again.
