The second one is much better, yes?

Happy holidays from the White House and me! (grammatically correct.) The past few days were spent doing all of the touristy things that I never got around to in the first 18 years I spent living outside of D.C.

Don’t you hate when people post close-up images to the internet of tattoos on completely generic and unidentifiable parts of the body?
Did you know that, according to AP style, ‘Internet’ should actually be capitalized?
Also, have you seen this?

Here is a *~*CAT PICTURE*~* that I took on my *~*CELL PHONE*~* while visiting cats at the Second Chance, one of the excellent shelters here in Columbia. I go every Sunday to get my cat fix. And I can’t get enough.
PS Lucky Girl and MANY OTHER ADORABLE CATS are, yes, available for adoption! Visit Second Chance’s website to see more. Some part-Siamese kittens just arrived, though I hope they stay around long enough to warm up to people and for me to see them again … !

My friend Rose invited me to visit her grandfather’s (who died this past year) old farm. It was about a 40-minute drive from Columbia got there just at sunset when the light was changing. Here are some photos.
Being watched by a field full of cows was almost as weird as the sounds they made, from cellphone vibration-esque to almost catlike.

“your true self has become weak, alone and annoying.”
A waitress wished me a belated happy birthday last night, so I feel it is still appropriate to mention I had one the other week (the 23rd of September).
It was marked by mustaches (Xiu Xiu, my face) and the state of illinois.

Belated blog post! Last Wednesday was the annual Fire Factor at MU, which meant …. we light things on fire. Specifically, a mock-up dorm room. It’s one of the more interesting fire safety demonstrations I’ve seen, and I finally was able to see – and get paid to record – it this year as a part of my job in the Res Life marketing department.
This pretty accurately sums up the room burn. Almost EVERYONE had a smartphone or camera out. You can see more photos I took on MU Res Life’s facebook page.
Internet famous! A photo posted by my boss.
Another exciting thing – I designed the T shirts for the event this year and got to see them distributed. Fingers crossed that I see someone in one at a party.
This kid really wanted one that fit well. Does that mean he’ll wear it out? That’s what I like to hear.
Now, you really should have been there, but if you weren’t, make sure to check out the video. You can see me act a fool around 2:31:
And, finally … the teaser trailer we released before the event.
Should’ve become an actor.
